In Espoo, Finnland findet am 7. und 8. September 2007 die interdisziplinäre”4th FOKO Conference – Female Genital Cutting in the Past and Today — Ihmisoikeusliitto” statt. Foko ist die Abkürzung für: The Nordic Network for Research on Female Circumcision. Die Konferenz ist nicht nur für Wissenschaftler und Studenten gedacht, sondern auch für Sachverständige, Mitarbeiter von Hilfsorganisationen und anderen Projekten sowie anderweitig involvierte Personen.
Klingt interessant, zumal die Vorträge im finnischen “Journal of Ethnicity and Migration” der “Society for the Study of Ethnic Relations and International Migration” Ende 2007 veröffentlicht werden sollen.
Die Teilnahmegebühr beträgt akzeptable 60€ (lunch und kaffee inklusive).
Deadline für die Abstracts ist der 28. Februar 2007
